What is Cultured Marble?
Cultured marble is a synthetic material made from polyester resin (an oil
derivative like plastic) and ground-up marble.

When I measure my bath tub, it is smaller than the 60" x 30" tub replacement. Do
I have a special tub size?
Most likely not. Our measurements are outer dimensions. When you measure
your space for the shower base, you must measure from stud wall to stud wall. If

Can I
pick a color for my Ceramic Tile Shower Base other than what was shown?
Absolutely! One of the features that makes Laurel's Ceramic Tile Shower Bases so
versatile is our custom colorization. There are two main colors involved in
these
shower bases: the base itself and the ceramic tile. The base can be changed to
any color you desire, including matching colors from other name brand plumbing
suppliers like Eljer, American Standard, Kohler, and more! See our
Base Colors page for the options available. While we
offer seven standard tile colors, you can choose any 2" x 2" 1/4" thick mosaic
floor tile manufactured by Dal Tile and American Olean. See our

some of the additional tile colors available.

I am using an imported brand of tile in my bathroom. Can I use my tile instead of
yours?
Unfortunately, most imported tiles are too thick to fit properly inside the base
bottom. Each tile manufacturer, imported or domestic, manufactures their 2" x 2"
floor tile to their own specification. If you would like to have your tile
tested, please contact us directly
to discuss the details.

Can I get a custom
size or move the drain location?
All of the sizes we offer are fixed and are not adjustable. Additionally, the
drain locations are also fixed.

If I
order the base without tile, does it still have to be tiled?
Yes, all of our Cultured Marble bases have a recessed area in
the bottom of the base in which to receive tile. If you order a Cultured Marble
base without tile it must be tiled prior to use.

Why would I want to tile my own
base?
There are many reasons why someone would choose to order a base without and
complete the tiling themselves. You may want to use tile from the same batch
that you are using in another aspect of your bathroom to insure a dye lot match.
You may also wish to create a design in the bottom of the base with multiple
colored tile or you may simply want to save a little money by completing the
base yourself.

How can I get samples of your standard tile colors or look at
different colors that are available?
The first option is to visit the
Tile Colors page in
our web site. We have samples of most of the tiles listed there. Dal Tile
manufactures all of our standard tile colors. One of the best ways to view tile
colors is to visit one of Dal's showrooms. You can locate a showroom near you by
logging onto their web site at http://www.daltile.com. We can also use American Olean's 2" mosaic floor
tiles. Dal Tile and American Olean are owned by the same parent company and
American Olean can be reached at the same website.

How
long would it take to get a shower base if I ordered today?
All of our bases are made to order and we are currently on a
two to three week lead time
for all standard base and tile color orders. If you need your shower base sooner
please contact us and we will make every effort to accommodate your needs.

included in the price?
No. The shipping cost will be determined on an individual basis. Please contact

How are
your shower bases shipped?
Due to size and weight, our shower bases must be
shipped by Common Carrier Freight Lines (tractor-trailer). If it is
not possible for a tractor-trailer to deliver to your location
please contact our office for delivery options.
